Talents is a personal finance tracker. It brings your income, expenses and monthly budgets together, with tools to review what you have spent and work through future plans.

It started with a spreadsheet
Talents started as a spreadsheet I used for my own finances, using formulas and formatting to organise the figures. That spreadsheet has since become the application you can use today.
It came from a personal need, but I could see its potential to be a blessing to others. That is why I am sharing it with the world.

Where the name comes from
The name comes from the parable of the talents, a story about how people manage the money entrusted to them. When I was thinking of a name for the app, that parable came to mind and it just clicked.
For me, it is a reminder that even the little you have can bring increase when you manage it well.
How Talents is organised
A ledger holds its own monthly budgets and spending records. You can use separate ledgers for personal and business finances, then review the recorded months in annual tables and charts.
Recurring templates help you reuse regular expenses. Projections let you explore a change to income or spending before adding it to your budget, while purchase lists give future items a place of their own.
Choose how much detail you see
A useful financial view does not have to show every figure at once. Sometimes a summary is enough. At other times, you want to look more closely at the numbers.
Talents has Basic, Standard and Complex visual modes. They work with the same financial records, with different amounts of detail on screen. You can change modes in Settings to suit how you want to work.
This is part of how Talents is designed: choose the amount of information that helps you manage your finances, rather than having every view show everything.
Talents today and what comes next
Talents is available on the web, on mobile and desktop. The Free plan includes budgeting and expense tracking. Pro adds shared ledgers and full CSV exports, with higher limits for ledgers and planning tools.
The longer-term plan is to bring Talents to Android and iOS as a native app. For now, you can use the web application to manage your finances.
